Out and about

My younger brother Tim will arrive this evening - he's emailing me from Bangkok as I type - and after a day or so settling in, we will be off on Friday to Koh Kong for a few days. As is the norm when Tim is here, we get out and about as much as we can which of course impacts on my blogging. So expect considerably less blog posts over the course of the next couple of weeks, especially as after our Koh Kong trip, it's then back to Phnom Penh to celebrate my birthday, before we head over to Isaan in NE Thailand for five days. I'll blog if I can, but if I can't, I won't. I'm sure you get the picture.

Just discovered your website and intrigued to know more about what drew you to move to Cambodia. We dropped out of the UK rat race a few years ago to move to the Lake District and travel. So it's interesting to see you pushing the envelope even further. Will keep reading.

well, I was drawn by visiting this beautiful country every year over a period of 13 years and eventually I decided to do the right thing and move here to live. My original fascination began in 1979 and just grew over time. Actually coming here in 1994 for the 1st time was the key, because my interest then became an obsession and as they say, the rest is history.

Thursday update:
No blogging today as I worked this morning, ate at Fish Restaurant again for lunch with Tim, then met friends, visited the Beauty Shop for a shampoo and shave and very soon we are off out for dinner and drinks. No time for such luxuries as blogging!

hi James,
I didn't get my nails done, but my brother did!!
I often go in for a shampoo and shave as its very relaxing, the girls are fun and giggly and it saves me doing it myself. One of the things I detest most in life is shaving...I've just always had an aversion to it.

FISH (near night market and Pontoon) is very good. The red snapper is very tasty and I've been there a few times now. Will go there on the 15th for my birthday bash tool.
