Did cambodia training well ? Why the coach don't select chan rithy ? I think he play well.what the result that cambodia to training at vietnam?did u i think cambodia can qualify for afc challenge cup 2010 ?
The coaching staff and the players have been training every afternoon this week in preparation for their Friday departure to Bangladesh. They have recently returned from a two-week training camp in Vietnam and I have posted an article about that with the results of the matches that they played.
As for Chan Rithy, he went to Vietnam with the 22-man squad but was not selected in the 18-man squad that will travel to Bangladesh. Whilst he is one of the best left-footed players in the country without a doubt, there has been talk of him moving to play his football in Thailand and I don't know if this has had a knock-on effect with his availability for the national team, or whether his mind-set is quite right. Its the decision of the coach who is selected in the final squad and Rithy has not been included.
yes Cambodia can definitely qualify, I have no doubt. But they must play to their absolute best, learn from their past matches at international level and give their all to win. Only if all of these can be harnessed into their 3 matches, will they triumph. I believe they can qualify.

Its a pleasure, especially having the opportunity to talk to Prak Sovannara, as he's a real gentleman, and has a genuine desire to do whatever he can to improve the standard of Cambodian football at the national level. So much so, he is currently working without a contract after his old contract ended after the Suzuki Cup in December. I think he would do it for nothing, in fact he may be doing that right now....I didn't actually ask him.
I have seen him in action, coaching the players, passing on his wisdom, both from a professional viewpoint with the coaching skills that he's acquired, but also as a former international player himself, and the experiences he gained from that. He is still young himself, only 36, one of the youngest national team coaches I would've thought, so he is still learning his trade as a coach and will continue to improve. It would be great if Cambodia give him the chance to grow and learn as the national coach for many years to come.
