Roy Hill live, well almost

I'm trying something new by adding a video to my blog. Fingers crossed. It's by one of the funniest musicians I've ever had the good fortune to meet and listen to. His name is Roy Hill and I've mentioned him a few times before on this blog. Roy lives in England so his live gigs are becoming a dim and distant memory for me, but he's keeping up a regular stream of his comedic blog posts on his myspace site so at least I can keep in touch. And if he carries on with these video blogs that'll be even better. You can read more about him here.

Excellent to see the great Roy Hill finally start to get some presence on the web. Full marks for your obvious enthusiasm. The start of something big hopefully.

Radio 1 'In Concert' in the 70's had some great bands but none better than The Roy Hill Band.

The song that has always stuck in my head is 'Are You Looking For Something Mr Templar?'. The song itself was excellent but it was Roy's intro that made it for me: The Saint would always be in the Contessa's room searching for her jewels when invariably he would be confronted by the villain of the piece. This nasty piece of work would then proceed to shoot Templar from point-blank range - but miss!!

I would love to hear this song again if anyone could help me out with a copy or how to go about getting one. Even better would be a recording of the whole concert -if a copy still exists.

Hi Jim,
well you can contact Roy direct via his MySpace website and he will be only too pleased to give you info about his recordings, especially Mr Templar, which he has on one of his CD's for sale. Yes, its a great song isn't it. Here's the site:
